| | The Fall of Troy - In The Unlikely Event | ] | I've seen a growing trend in the recent few years that has taken me by surprise. Home videos of turtles humping random objects and making little turtle noises. Why am I being exposed to such tomfoolery?
Fall is fast approaching to my dislike. It seems like I was just scraping snow off of my car windows.
I picked up the new tfot album "In The Unlikely Event", the classic hard tfot style songs, a few poppy, a couple love songs, and all share the excellent guitar sounds of Thomas Erak. The boys have really come along. Thomas starting singing more in this album for a change.
Anywho I'm going to call the ladyfriend. |

| | thoughtful | ] | Well well, livejournal. It's sometime since the lasttime we met. I've grown a little older, a little wiser, and a little chubbier. I've been promoted to a pretty nice job. Air conditioning and paperwork mostly. D&D 4th edition is out. w00t. I'm DMing the old crew again. Exciting. I've recently became the proud owner of a cat. His name is Rudy. He is awesome. That's all for now. Until next time LJ. I promise I'll write something interesting sooner or later.

| | happy | ] | Well, my life is moving forward, finally. Samantha and I are buying a house. We just made an offer on a home. I liked it. Work is going great. I 'm completely in love with the girl of my dreams. Making a decent amount of money. We've even discussed getting married. Everything is finally going my way. I've completely quit smoking cigarettes. Not sure why I started. I've lost 60 pounds.
This ADD medicine is working great. |

I asked myself a while ago, why do I get out of bed each morning?
I thought and thought.
I know why I get out of bed each day, to throw those covers off, set my feet on the ground and stand up.
Samantha, plain and simple. I stand up for our future, we're both getting ready to go to college and start our life together and I can't wait until the day when I can get out of bed in my own home. To see the faces of my children smiling and to kiss Samantha a good morning kiss.
A while ago I had the mentality of a loser. I had nothing, nobody, but know that has all changed. I found the one. I bought a car, I'm going to college, I have a good job. That's all the stepping stones I need to get to where I'm going.
If any of you people out there are feeling down, and having trouble finding your stepping stone, don't worry. You'll find them. Just dig deeper. They are there, waiting. |

I particularly remember the smell of my youth in that place.
The salty breeze. Mist. The chattering gulls always in search.
The coolness of the deep sand on those hot days.
The towering cliffs where the risky ones went to play.
"Get away from there."
But they never listened. |
